| Environmentally Friendly Wood Waste
Disposal Operation |
|
Musser Lumber Company takes
what many organizations consider "waste" in the form of wood products, old
pallets, bark, sawdust, general wood scrap material, etc. and puts it to use
on a daily basis! Using a state-of-the-art multi-step wood waste
conversion process, we turn these forgotten materials into an extremely
efficient, environmentally friendly source of clean burning biomass fuel.
Next, harnessing the power of Musser's multiple industrial grade boilers, we
utilize the biomass fuel to provide energy in the form of steam, allowing us
to kiln dry our quality lumber products in an ecologically cost conscious
manner. The savings get passed on to our customers and the environment
remains clean in the process - truly a win/win situation!
Do you have piles like this sitting around taking up
valuable work space?

Let Musser
Lumber Company help
you dispose of your wood waste material at little to no cost to you!
1) For high volume accounts, we can leave box
trailers on site. When the trailer is full, simply call us. We
will remove the trailer and bring a new empty one. 2)
For lower volume accounts, we can coordinate scheduled pickups.
You can simply place your wood waste on our trucks and we haul it away -
that's it!
Let's take a look at the actual process of
converting wood waste material into eco-friendly bio mass fuel ... |
| The process begins in our grinding area with a huge pile
of wood waste material ... |
 |
| Using Industrial size equipment, the material is picked
up by large "scoopfuls"! |
 |
| The wood waste material is ultimately headed for this guy
... Musser's MASSIVE "grinder" ... |
 |
| Inside of the grinder is this set of positively enormous
"teeth" ... all wood waste passes through here ... |
 |
| The grinder at work ... all wood waste is turned -
QUICKLY - into uniform "chip size" material by this beast! |
 |
| The now chip size material comes out of the grinder at a
high rate of speed and heads up a loading shute ... |
 |
| All day long piles of this material are being produced
from wood waste ... |
 |
| The wood waste chips are then parked outside Musser's
state-of-the-art boiler room ... |
 |
| Here is a shot inside a parked chip trailer ... |
 |
| Trailers are actually parked against a massive "hopper"
that collects chips in order to transport them ... |
 |
| As the chips exit the hopper, they are moved along the
pathway by huge rotating discs ... |
 |
| Here is where the action takes place! Inside of
this building is Musser's HUGE state-of-the-art boiler system ... |
 |
| The bottom portion of one of Musser's boilers ... the
pipe seen at the top conducts the chips into the fire ... |
 |
| Night and day a glowing fire is raging inside of the
boiler's huge belly ... this thing is HOT! |
 |
| The upper portion of the boiler system ... intense heat
and pressure are turned into steam in order to heat the kilns ... |
 |
| Ultimately, the biomass fuel produced from wood waste
material is used to fire our industry leading kiln operation ... |
